Return & Refund Policy
Hi there! I’m Leia Tatucu, the artist behind Fineliner Diaries. My greatest joy is creating artwork that resonates deeply with you—pieces that feel like they were made for your home. But I understand that sometimes, a connection isn't quite right. That's why I offer a 14-day return policy for art prints and original, non-commissioned artwork. This gives you the freedom to live with your new piece and decide if it’s the perfect fit for your space.
Here’s a simple guide to my return and refund policy, crafted with the same care as my art.
To be eligible for a return, the artwork must be in the same pristine condition it arrived in, kept in its original packaging. Please hold onto your receipt or proof of purchase, as you’ll need it to complete the process.
In line with German law (§355 BGB), customers have the right to withdraw from a contract within 14 days without giving a reason. This right applies to online orders and is exclusively for consumers, not business customers.
The 14-Day Withdrawal Period
Your 14-day window to decide begins the moment you (or a person you’ve designated) receive the artwork. Here’s how it works:
- Single Delivery: If your order arrives in one package, the 14 days start on the day you receive it.
- Multiple Deliveries: If your order is split into separate deliveries, the clock starts when you receive the final piece.
- Subscriptions: For ongoing deliveries, the period begins after you receive the first item.
How to Initiate a Return
If you've decided a piece isn't for you, simply let me know you'd like to withdraw from the contract with a clear statement. You can reach me by email or post:

You can use the sample withdrawal form at the bottom of this page or simply send me a message through my contact page at https://leia-tatucu.com/pages/contact. Just be sure to reach out before the 14-day window closes! I'll send a confirmation as soon as I receive your request.
Consequences of Withdrawal
Changed your mind? No problem. If you withdraw from this contract, I will refund all payments received from you, including the standard delivery costs.
I will process your refund within 14 days of being notified of your decision. For both fine art prints and original artworks, I’ll hold the refund until the piece has been safely returned to me. The refund will be issued to your original payment method unless we agree otherwise, and you won’t incur any fees.
All items must be shipped back no later than 14 days after you’ve informed me of your withdrawal.
- For Fine Art Prints: I will cover the cost of return shipping.
- For Original Artwork: You will be responsible for the return shipping and insurance costs. This is to ensure the one-of-a-kind piece makes its way back to my studio safely.
Please handle the artwork with care. You are free to inspect it as you would in a gallery, but if its value is diminished due to excessive handling, that amount may be deducted from your refund.
What’s Not Eligible for Return
The right to withdraw does not apply to custom-made or commissioned artworks, as outlined in § 312g (2) No. 1 BGB. These pieces are created uniquely for you. Because they are so personal, they are non-refundable. However, I am committed to creating a piece you'll absolutely love and will work closely with you throughout the process. Creating art for Fineliner Diaries is a labor of love, and I want your experience to reflect that. This policy is designed to be fair, clear, and flexible, honoring both your freedom as a customer and the craftsmanship behind each piece.
