The commissioning process with Leia is thoughtfully designed to be seamless, inspiring, and tailored to your vision, ensuring the final piece perfectly complements your space.
Step One: The Initial Consultation
Your journey begins with a detailed conversation to explore your ideas, preferences, and project specifics. Whether conducted in person or virtually, this consultation allows Leia to fully understand the environment where your artwork will reside. From the desired ambiance to precise dimensions, every aspect is carefully considered. Together, you'll discuss essential elements such as size, color palette, and thematic alignment, ensuring the piece harmonizes flawlessly with your aesthetic goals and space.
To prepare for this session, it’s helpful to gather a few key insights: photos of the intended space, preferred colors or themes, and an estimated budget for the project.
Following this consultation, Leia will provide a comprehensive proposal with pricing and an estimated timeline for your commission. To proceed with the prototype sketch, a 50% deposit of the agreed-upon commissioning price is required after the commissioning contract is signed.
Step Two: The Commissioning Agreement
Once the proposal is approved, Leia will draft a detailed commissioning contract. This contract clearly defines all project specifications, including the artwork’s dimensions, materials, price, payment schedule, delivery timeline, and mutual responsibilities. This ensures complete transparency and peace of mind for both parties.
Please note that two rounds of revisions are included in the process. Any additional revisions beyond this will be billed at €70 per hour. The contract must be signed, and the deposit paid, before moving on to the next step of the process.
Step Three: The Digital Draft
With the agreement in place, Leia will get to work creating a digital draft – a "prototype" of your artwork – developed using advanced design tools. This draft is carefully rendered into an image of your space, offering a realistic preview of how the final piece will look.
This phase includes two rounds of revisions, allowing adjustments to ensure the design aligns perfectly with your vision before work on the final piece begins.
Step Four: Creation & Updates
Once the prototype is approved, Leia begins bringing your unique piece to life. Using her expertise in resin mixed media, she creates a one-of-a-kind artwork that reflects your vision and the organic flow of her materials.
Throughout the creative process, you'll receive regular updates at key milestones, keeping you connected to your artwork’s evolution. Each piece is crafted to be stunningly unique, ensuring no two are ever the same.
Step Five: Final Approval & Delivery
Once the artwork is complete, Leia will share high-resolution images for your final approval. Upon receiving the remaining 50% payment, your masterpiece will be expertly prepared and securely packaged for shipment. Detailed care instructions will also be included to ensure your artwork remains a breathtaking focal point for years to come.

Leia offers a diverse range of sizes designed to perfectly fit your space, style, and vision. While her most popular dimensions are listed below, customisations are always possible – whether you’re looking for something smaller, larger, or uniquely formatted. Standard pricing includes sizes such as:
- 40cm x 40cm: €1,315.00
- 50cm x 50cm: €1,600.00
- 50cm diameter: €1,500.00
- 60cm x 60cm: €2,110.00
- 60cm diameter: €2,000.00
- 80cm x 80cm: €2,590.00
- 50cm x 100cm: €2,100.00
- 70cm x 100cm: €2,800.00
Each piece is created on wooden panels, eliminating the need for framing and offering a modern, polished aesthetic. These panels are equipped with hanging hooks for effortless installation. The listed prices generally cover three layers of resin, delicate collage elements on paper or fabric, texture paste, and a protective sealing coat. The creative process includes two rounds of revisions for composition, colours, and materials, fostering smooth collaboration. However, due to the fluid nature of resin, some aspects of the final outcome embrace beautiful unpredictability – this balance of control and spontaneity is a key part of each artwork's unique charm and dynamism.
To secure your commission, a 50% deposit is required, with the remaining 50% due upon completion and prior to shipping.
As a small business, Leia does not charge VAT according to § 19 UStG, ensuring a straightforward and transparent process.
Shipping Options: Delivering Your Masterpiece
Our shipping services for Leia Tatucu commissions currently extend to countries within the European Union and Switzerland. Specific shipping options and timelines for your commissioned artwork will be finalised during your consultation.

- Medium-sized pieces (e.g., 40x40cm, 50x50cm, 60x60cm): €125.00 flat rate per piece

For artworks exceeding these standard sizes, shipping costs will be carefully estimated and finalized during our commissioning consultation. This ensures accurate pricing for your unique, custom-sized pieces based on their specific dimensions and weight.
- Local delivery and installation for clients living in South-Western Germany is included.
Shipping for commissioned formats or complex pieces that exceed the dimensions and rates listed above will be priced accordingly. These costs will be discussed with you and finalised in the project contract.
All fees listed above include insurance. It is therefore crucial to inspect your artwork's packaging and the piece itself immediately upon arrival. Please report any transit damage without delay.
Shipping durations for commissioned pieces can vary significantly once the artwork is complete. Factors such as your location, artwork dimensions, weight, and any last-minute requests make it challenging to provide a standard delivery window. An estimated delivery timeline will be communicated to you and included in your commissioning contract, tailored to your specific service.
Commission Timeline: From Concept to Completion
The typical turnaround time for commissions is currently 3–4 months.
Following your initial consultation, you will receive a price quote based on the specific details of your project. Once you approve the pricing and terms, a commissioning contract will be drafted. A 50% deposit of the total price is required to secure your spot and move forward with the prototype sketch.
Should we be unable to agree on the artwork's concept and composition, 30% of your deposit will be refunded, and the commissioning contract will be annulled. This means 20% of the total deposit will be retained as a design fee for the prototype sketch. Once the prototype sketch is approved and production begins, the deposit becomes non-refundable. Please note that refund policies may vary depending on your project's unique scope and complexity.
Intellectual Property & Copyright
Please note that all intellectual property and copyright for commissioned artworks remain with Leia Tatucu. While clients receive the physical artwork, they do not acquire rights for commercial reproduction. Leia reserves the right to use images of the commissioned work for promotional purposes, such as on her website, social media, or in portfolios. This ensures the protection of the artist's creative rights and allows for the celebration of her unique commissioned pieces.
