"Geometric Pattern from a Traditional Women's Blouse" is an open edition fine art print available with dimensions of - 50 by 70cm (47 by 67cm with a 3cm white border)
Artwork Description:
One of my favorite pieces of traditional attire is the women's blouse. These garments are beautifully adorned with floral and geometric motifs, or sometimes a mix of both, showcasing the artistic skills of their wearers and often their makers. The blouse used as a reference for this artwork is a stunning all-white traditional piece. It features white embroidery on white fabric, where the silk thread catches the light, shimmering with every movement and highlighting the intricate patterns.
About the printing process:
Giclée Inkjet printing, a method where ink is meticulously sprayed onto paper in a fine dot pattern known as a half-tone, endows prints with a distinct fine art feel through its use of textured papers. This technique is celebrated for its ability to produce prints with deeply saturated colors, thanks to the vibrant pigments forming the inks. It offers a wide selection in paper thickness and texture, catering to various artistic preferences. The brilliance of Giclée prints lies in their vivid and saturated hues, setting them apart in the realm of art reproduction. Artists and illustrators favor Giclée prints for their precision in replicating the original artwork's medium. Furthermore, the archival quality of Giclée prints is remarkable, enduring approximately 40 years in daylight and up to 200 years in optimal dark storage conditions, preserving the legacy of the artwork for future generations.
The paper we love to use at Fineliner Diaries for our fine art prints:
The paper used for the Giclée fine art prints of "Threads of Heritage" is Hahnemühle Pearl. Hahnemüle Pearl has a smooth orange peel texture and a bright neutral white base, it creates really natural black and white images and offers vibrant colour reproduction and great detail too. The paper is resin coated with a fibrous feel. The satin finish of the resin coating gives depth to the image which combined with the texture and vibrant colour reproduction give the image the feel of an oil painting. This is one of the most suitable of the Giclée Art Paper range for mounting.
