The geometric rose design reimagines the intricate patterns that historically adorned homes, symbolizing abundance, fertility, and protection. Rendered in serene shades of blue, the piece creates a captivating visual experience that bridges past and present.

Working closely with ethnologist and PhD candidate Alexandra Negrilă, we've gained a deeper appreciation for the original textile's cultural significance. Alexandra's expertise tells us the original was woven from cotton and decorated at its ends using the "alesătură" (picked-in) technique with blue "arnici" (cotton thread). The design features classic motifs like "ram's horns", "the winding path" and a stylised flower motif, finished with handmade cotton lace—all details that inspire this contemporary print. This print is an ideal choice for anyone looking to incorporate meaningful, culturally rich art into their home decor.
